Candice learned the basics of filmmaking from two (very patient) friends from East Van while shooting a documentary about a blind man learning to jump a motorcycle in the California desert. Renaissance Man premiered at the DOXA film festival in Vancouver in 2012.
She wrote and directed Monday, her first short film, following a stint of chronic anxiety and occasional panic attacks. She’s sort of better now, but you know, the thing about Mondays is they never really go away.
Born in France and raised in Vancouver, Candice has lived in six cities spanning three continents. For five years, she worked as a journalist in Canada and Mexico. She also spent one year in Ethiopia doing communications for an NGO. Today she’s based in Madrid, Spain.
